The city has been open to settlement since
Paleolatic era. It has been under preavailing of Lidas in the 7 th.century B.C of Persians
in 546 B.C, of Yskender in 333 B.C.,after the death of Yskender during the period of king
Attalos of Bergama ,
a new city was constructed named Attelia. Until the 4 th.century A.D it remained dependent
to Roman In the 7 th. century. A.D. it has been devastated by Arabian invasions.
afterwards the region has been invaded by Seljuks in 1207 A.D. The most important ruins of
the city are; Hadrianus Gate , City Walls , Kesik Minarete and Yivli Minaret. Mosque which
is accepted as the city symbol.
2nd. DAY
After breakfast on yacht , sailing for two hours ,
arrival to Phaselis Bay ( the greek
colonist Liakos has paid only some barley bread and some salted fish to buy this land from
Kylabros the shepherd, and ever since they called this land phaselis which meant almost
free or such a good bargain and they used this word for centuries for good bargains ) the city was well known for perfume trade during antique era
where three naturel bays were founded and the acropolis was settled by Colonists in the
7th. century B.C. are.after lunch and swimming here arrival to Olympos Antique City or
Cyraly bay where Caretta Caretta sea turtles lay their eggs and which was the base of
famed pirate Zenikedes once upon a time . Here we shall take you to the shore and show you
around . there are still valuable remainings of late greek early roman and also byzantins
such as lycian rock tombs as museleums the necropolis , the acropolis , roman bath , and
the gate which was built for the honour of Marcus Aurelius the roman empire .
After five o clock tea and swimming , leaving to Adrasan Cavu? Bay for dinner and
overnight.
3 rd. DAY
After breakfaston our yacht weighing anchor and
heading soutwards, arrival to Demre or Myra at midday. After lunch in Demre , Trip to Noel
Baba (Bishop St. Nicholas church )who is regarded as the protector of children , paupers
and sailors a bishop who lived in Byzantine Era in Myra. which is a Likyan city. if
interested you may join to Demre - Myra tour with payment.After this land tour for about 2
hours we shall be arriving to Gökkaya Bay at 17 pm
tea time , overnight isat gokkaya after dinner.
4 th. DAY
After breakfast, arrival to Kekova Island just
opposite Kale Village where sunken city is that north of it has been intermented into the
sea as a result of an earthquake during 4th century A.D.
5 th. DAY
Our dream journey begins after breakfast in Ka?
Harbour, After swimming in Üç A?yz bay which is the oldest Lycian City, 34 kms. far from
Ka?. Dinner at Simena where the antique theatre remains which is for built for 300 persons
, constructed on the hill opposite Kekova Island behind Kale Village and it's
foothill.afterwards we shall be leaving kekova bay and stay overnight in Finike harbour
renowned for oranges and citrus trees .
6 th. DAY
Our yacht departuring from Finike Marina after
breakfast arrival to Ceneviz bay passing through unique bights and coasts. Arrival to
Kemer county, Moonlight Bay after lunch and swimming pauses... Beautyful blue waters here
, staying overnight in this beautiful bay after dinner, if you can resist to go out and
enjoy a colourful evening in Kemer...!
7 th. DAY
After breakfast in Kemer on a calm morning breeze
till 12 o'clock check-out is done.and that
is the worst part of this trip...
hugging , kissing , eachother with tears in eyes
then farewel to everyone... bye till next time. |
